The possible use of simple biometrics of fowl intestine.

1971
SUMMARY Simple measurements of the intestine of the fowl arc described and presented as linear regressions on the logarithm of age, so that relationships between intestinal length, basal surface area, villous height and mucosal thickness are established during the period of maximum growth. The results are discussed in terms of the tissue response, especially to coccidial infection.
