Location Based Enabled Context Awareness Information Service

2009
As the dramatic development of network technologies, users of nets are not only the information receivers as it was usual in the past. They might be intermediaries, inter-actors, interferences or message providers, even services providers. Thus, information transferring on the Internet is growing rapidly. Some information is useful, but the other is annoying and useless. The useless information passed to us is often called "Spam". When a user is unwilling to receive spam, it is his/her privilege to reject it. Many self-service web services are applied to categorize the incoming messages through rough site policies, especially on email servers. Emails are put into a folder of spam if it fits the profiles of SPAM. When people start using cellular phone, mobile messages become a fast growing issue. Unfortunately, there is no certain service on mobile networks to provide spam classifications. Users must manually agree or reject an incoming message. However, if every acceptance or refusal requests users' approval, the time wasted and nuisance is unacceptable. In this research, a mobile service, CAIS, is proposed. CAIS stands for Context Awareness Information Services. It is composed of several mobile services to achieve: 1. context-awareness communication, 2. location-based communication, 3. mobile information sharing, 4. autonomous communication, 5. user privacy protection, 6. negligible cost, and 7. silent information sharing.
