Effect of Heat Treatment Process on Microstructure and Properties of Low-carbon High-alloy Steel for Liner

2012
A low-carbon high-alloy steel for liner was quenched from different austenitizing temperatures in various media and subsequently tempered at 250℃to reveal the effect of heat treatment process on its microstructure and properties. The results indicate that the microstructure consists of lath martensite and a small amount of retained austenite and carbide, and offers higher strength and toughness. The steel quenched in oil from 1020℃and tempered at 250℃will offer good toughness and higher hardness.
