Elección del dispositivo para medicación inhalada en niños (primera de dos partes) (Election of the device for the inhaled medication in children (first of two parts))

SUMMARY This paper takes as a target to provide a practical guide of the aspects to consider in the election of the best device of administration of inhaled medicines in pediatric asthma. Along the review, the basic aspects are analyzed on the pulmonary deposit of the medicine. Describe the characteristics of the different devices of administration inhaled route, aiming at his advantages and disabilities, indicating this way the new technologies as the devices of soft fog, which guarantee a better absorption of the administered medicine. The conclusions remark the importance of the joint participation of the patient, family and doctor in the election of the best way of administering the medicines, since often a deficient administration turns into a factor of risk for the treatment and the quality of life of the patient.
