Clinical observation of Mammotome breast minimally invasive treatment of benign breast lesions

Objective: To investigate the Mammotome (MMT) in the treatment of breast minimally invasive surgery in be-nign breast lesions advantage. Methods: A retrospective analyzed of our hospital in February 2008 to October 2010, 74 patients admitted to 103 MMT of benign breast lesions using minimally invasive surgical treatment of breast, and surgery, postoperative complications, cosmetic results and psychological satisfaction survey research. Results: 74 patients were successful, the blood loss was 30-100 ml. The mean operative time was (34.2±19.7) min, no case of bleeding and wound infection, psychological satisfaction of 100%. Follow-up of 6-12 months, one patient had recurrence of breast fibroma. Conclusion: High-frequency ultrasound-guided minimally invasive treatment of MMT breast benign breast lesions can shorten the operation time, to obtain better cosmetic results and the psychological satisfaction, fewer complications, especially for the treatment of benign breast lesions 3 cm in diameter, is worthy of clinical application.
