As businesses look for global growth, chronic skills gaps combined with a mismatch between demand and supply of talent means that getting (and keeping) the right people in the right places at the right time has never been more challenging. HR leaders need to mobilize talent to help businesses grow. The talent expectations gap is the disparity between what companies expect from their workforce and the skills that are available in the marketplace. The paper covers certain areas which are globalizing talent, invest strategically in talent management, measure the effectiveness, changing skills & competencies, succession planning, business implications & responses, Talent management strategy & programmes. This paper is based on a partial preliminary review of the literature and provides a concise summary of the theoretical part of the study. The analysis part includes the certain statistical tests based on the hypothesis. It must be regarded as a research proposal of apartial research project and as such it could extend and transform in the process.
