ELECTRIC DRIVETRAIN FOR HYBRID ELECTRIC BUS. IN: ELECTRIC AND HYBRID VEHICLE TECHNOLOGY

The design of a hybrid/electric powered bus is presented including the specifications of the major components and drive train layout. Results of computer modelling on vehicle performance are presented for the hybrid/electric bus. In addition to the details of the hybrid/electric bus design and performance, this paper presents a description of the Brassboard, the test fixture developed to allow the entire drive system to be tested prior to installation in the bus.
