Influence of Alternating Magnetic Field on the Crystal Process of Al-11.4%Cu Alloy

2004
The liquidus temperature, solidus temperature and crystal interval of Al-11.4%Cu alloy are determined by testing and analysing the resistance of Al-11.4%Cu alloy solidified under an alternating magnetic field. It is found through experiments that the liquidus temperature and solidus temperature of the alloy increase while the crystal interval decrease by the use of the alternating magnetic field. Furthermore, this variety is more evident when the magnetic density becomes bigger.
