Accordion-like nanoporous carbon derived from Al-MOF as advanced anode material for sodium ion batteries
2018
Abstract In this paper, an accordion-like nanoporous carbon material (ALNCs) which is characterized by high particular surface area and abundant micropores/mesopores synthesized via carbonization of the Al-based metal-organic framework (Al-MOF). When used as a kind of anode material when producing Na-ion batteries, the high invertible specific capacity of ALNCs electrode achieved 211.5 mAh·g −1 based on a current density being 100 mA g −1 . In addition, it also shows good cycling stability featured by a capacity retention ratio of 97% after 200 cycles. Due to the unique porous structure, interconnected carbon skeleton and expanded interlayer spacing, the supreme electrochemical property could be revealed, through which the diffusion length could significantly be shortened, and the Na-ion could get support reversibly during surface adsorption and interlayer intercalation.
