Polypeptide artificial carrier particles for use in passive agglutination immunoassay

Spherical particles with diameters of 2-5 μm are prepared from partially aminated poly(L-glutamic acid) by coacervation. They are shown to be excellent carriers for immunoassay, showing high sensitivity and a lack of non-specific agglutination.
