The applications of infrared spectroscopy combined with chemometrics methods in traditional Chinese medicine analysis

A review with 51 references in recent 5 years was presented which comprise of the applications of infrared spectroscopy combined with chemometric methods to traditional Chinese medicine analysis.The chemometric methods,clustering analysis,partial least squares(PLS),principal component analysis(PCA),artificial neural networks(ANN),wavelet and SIMCA had been used for research of traditional Chinese medicine such as determination and evaluation for Chinese herbals,analyzing effective compounds,preprocessing control,compound compatibility,space breeding,and traditional Chinese medicine formulations controlling,etc.The latest applications and the application examples showed that the analytical technique for process control can bring enormous benefit to companies.
