A Case of Stomach Burkitt Lymphoma

2015
Summary Lymphoid neoplasms represent a heterogeneous group of neoplasms, including non-Hodgkin lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma, multiple myeloma and acute and chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Burkitt lymphoma is a highly aggressive neoplasm of mature B cells in non-Hodgkin lymphomas. Stomach involvement occurs in only 10% of patients. Almost all cases are detected in the late stages as a bulky mass located in the abdomen or other gastrointestinal sites. In this report, we describe a 72-year-old female diagnosed with BL of the stomach.
