Primary study on controlling on the canker disease of new afforested poplar in northern Jiangsu.

Five fungicides(e.g.carbendazim,prochloraz,tridemorph,thiram,chlorothalonil) were evaluated by the effectiveness to Phomopsis eucommicola in the Lab.Our results indicated that Prochloraz and Carbendazim had higher inhibition ability to the hyphae of Phomopsis eucommicola.Higher concentre of fungicide led to stronger inhibition to the pathogen.Through field tests,prochloraz,thiram and carbendazim had better controlling effects(94.1%,94.1%,and 88.2%,respectively).The control effect of tuzet was poorer,only 58.8%.
