Occurrence State of Tin Minerals in Products from Polymetallic Ore Concentrator in South Hunan

The occurrence state of tin minerals in products from the concentrator of a W-Sn-Mo-Bi polymetallic ore in South Hunan was studied by using chemical phase analysis method and mineral liberation analyzer(MLA).The results show that tin occurs predominantly as cassiterite in the currently mined ores,while the tin mineral ever considered as isomorphous tin is actually ultrafine cassiterite disseminated in silicates,which must be recovered by adopting ultrafine grinding operation or combined technologies of beneficiation and metallurgy.
