Release control for hot orders based on TOC theory for semiconductor manufacturing line
2009
Release control is an important precondition for guaranteeing smooth production. Reasonable release control is particular important for semiconductor manufacturing line due to its reentrance. Combined with the release stability theory, a TOC (theory of constraint) based release policy was proposed on the basis of system bottleneck being detected and applied to hot orders. Experiments demonstrate the TOC release policy is much better than the traditional release policy for the transient process for hot orders. Furthermore, it is also beneficial for the transient process of normal orders. This release policy can reduce greatly the influence caused by hot orders on the performance of semiconductor manufacturing line.
