Condition monitoring system for intelligent substation equipment on offshore oil platform

2013
The invention relates to a condition monitoring system for intelligent substation equipment on an offshore oil platform. The condition monitoring system comprises sensor sets, IEDs (intelligent electronic devices), a monitoring communication network, a monitoring master and a plurality of industrial cameras. The sensor sets are used for acquiring condition data of monitored electrical devices. The IEDs are distributed on a medium and high voltage switch cabinet and are used for receiving the condition data transmitted from the sensor sets, calculating computational data such as breaker condition accumulation, transformer accumulation, motor accumulation and cable overheat accumulation and transmitting the condition data and the computational data to the monitoring master through the monitoring communication network. The industrial cameras are used for acquiring video images of the monitored electrical devices in real time, and transmitting the video images to the monitoring master through the monitoring communication network. A processing unit in the monitoring master compares the received video images and the condition data and computational data of the electrical devices to system historical data in a storage device of the monitoring master. The processing unit stores the entire received condition data and the computational data into the storage device of the monitoring master to serve as system historical data. The condition monitoring system for intelligent substation equipment on the offshore oil platform is widely applicable to monitoring high-voltage primary equipment on offshore oil platforms.
