Abstract An innovative interdisciplinary public health–based endocrine specialty clinic (ESC) program included nurse practitioner–provided care to low-income pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). Among underserved adults, Medicaid-insured clients may experience better care access and health outcomes than those without insurance.
