Structural and luminescence properties of highly efficient Ag/CeO2 nanomaterial synthesized via hydrothermal route

2020
Well crystalline Ag/CeO2 nanomaterial was synthesized via simple hydrothermal route. The phase identification, morphological studies and photoluminescence characteristics of these nanomaterials were investigated. The X-ray diffraction studies exhibits Ag doped CeO2 samples consists of both cubic Ag and CeO2 phases, the crystallite sizes were evaluated by Scherrer’s relation and found to be in the range of 18–29 nm. The deposition of Ag nanoparticle on spherical CeO2 was clearly observed. Photoluminescence emission spectra display a peak at single broad peak at ∼ 535 nm. The photometric properties indicate that the prepared nanomaterial exhibit green emission with high purity. Aforementioned results indicate that the synthesized samples are quite useful for WLED’s applications.
