It is established that the new dibenzofuran oxime derivative (GIZH-272) at 40 mg/kg dose exhibits clearly pronounced anticonvulsant activity in chronic model of partial (focal) cobalt-induced epilepsy in rats, as it weakens the primary and secondary generalized foci at stages of epileptic system development, formation and stabilization. GIZH-272 structural targets are foci in the hippocampus and hypothalamus at the stage of formation of epileptic system, and foci in the hippocampus - at the stage of stabilization. GIZH-272 (10 mg/kg) has a pronounced anti-ischemic effect on the model of intracerebral post-traumatic hematoma, as it increases the animal survival rate and weakens neurological, motor function, and cognitive deficits.
