Numerical study of an inverse scattering algorithm for perfectly conducting one-dimensional surfaces

An inversion algorithm for the reconstruction of surface profiles from far-field amplitude scattering data is considered. The algorithm is based on a wavefront matching principle, and is related to interferometric profiling techniques.
