Design of Low Power Memory Array using Address Transition Detection (ATD) Circuit

2020
This paper describes design of Address Transition Detection(ATD) circuit. The designed ATD circuit has been used for low power memory design. ATD circuit generates a pulse whenever there is a transition or change in address. Traditionally ATD circuit is used for detection of switching of Memory address. In this paper low power ATD has been used as precharge detection and internally generates read signal for fast readout and reliable operation. The circuit also avoids unwanted address decoder switching operation and wrong address information readout. The low access time of <5 ns has been achieved using 180 nm process with 1.8V supply.
