Influencing factors of gastroesophageal reflux in diabetic patients
2014
Objective To investigate the influencing factors of gas troeso phageal reflux in diabetes patients. Methods Gastroesophageal reflux symptoms were surveyed with Reflux Disease Questionnaire( RDQ) in 203 patients with diabetes. The height, weight, waist circumference( WC),hip circumference( HC),hemoglobin A1c( Hb A1c),blood pressure were measured, and body mass index( BM I) and waist-to-hip ratio( WHR) were calculated. BM I,WC,HC,WHR,Hb A1 c,blood pressure were compared between patients with RDQ ≥12 and those with RDQ 12. The correlation of RDQ score with above parameters were analyzed. Results The WC,WHR,Hb A1 c in RDQ ≥12group were significantly higher than those in RDQ 12 group( P 0. 05); the RDQ score was positively correlated with BM I,WC,WHR,Hb A1 c levels( r = 0. 174,0. 397,0. 231,0. 351 respectively,P 0. 05). Conclusion Body weight,BM I,waist circumference and hip circum-ference,Hb A1 c are influencingfactors for gastroesophageal reflux in diabetic patients.
