Dieta y enfermedades cardiovasculares

1995
Coronary heart disease (CHD) is a term used to identify cardiac disorders resulting from inadequate circulation blood to local areas of heart muscle. This deficiency has two main components, atherosclerosis and thrombosis. High blood cholesterol, high blood pressure, and cigarette smoking play an important role in the developement of these diseases. Diet plays an important role in the regulation of blood cholesterol levels and influences other risk factors for CHD, like the response of blood platelets.
