Alkylation of isobutane with C2–C4 alcohols on hybrid catalyst based on pillared clay

2015
A hybrid catalyst based on pillared clays and anion-modified tungsten oxide was obtained using the mechanosynthesis method. The main physicochemical and physicomechanical characteristics of the obtained catalyst have been investigated. The process of isobutane alkylation with C2–C4 aliphatic alcohols (bioalcohols) is studied. A probabilistic reaction mechanism that combines the steps of alcohol dehydration, alkylation and oligomerization in a single process has been proposed.
