The invention provides an intelligent electric self-balancing scooter based on four-wheel drive. A scooter body is provided with a control device; the control device controls a driving motor connected with a footboard sensor and a steering output device and driving four wheels in motion; the scooter body is started or stopped via the footboard sensor, and the driving motor can drive the four wheels to turn through the steering output device. The accidents due to the start and stop of an existing self-balancing scooter being achieved via an infrared reflecting sensing switch are avoided.
