The utility model relates to a mobile robot based on a preset moving path. The mobile robot comprises a wheel-type mobile apparatus and a remote controller. The wheel-type mobile apparatus is connected with the remote controller through a short-distance wireless communication manner. The wheel-type mobile apparatus comprises a processor A, a motor driving circuit, an electronic compass, a wireless transceiver A, a memory, and an ultrasonic obstacle avoidance sensor. The remote controller comprises a microprocessor B, a wireless transceiver B, a keyboard, and a LCD display screen. The mobile robot has two modes including a recording mode and a mobile mode. In the recording mode, a user may control the mobile robot with the remote controller to execute actions such as left turning or the like in order to complete the moving path of the mobile robot. In the mobile mode, the user transmits a control command one time in order to control the movement of the mobile robot. The mobile robot has characteristics of no need for wire arrangement, good flexibility, easy manipulation, and a strong environmental self-adaptive ability, achieves movement in environment such as household or the like, and supports the setting of different standing time at different positions.
