O estudante com deficiência visual no Ensino Superior e a aprendizagem ativa: uma questão de acessibilidade

The increasing enrollment of students with disabilities in universities makes it necessary to deepen reflection on Inclusive Education in order to focus on disability issues as an emerging issue. This article aims to describe some practical guidelines for teaching processes with blind students in universities, considering the assumptions that guide Active Learning, based on the researches of one of the authors, a student with visual impairment who participates in the formative process of the Postgraduate degree from a university in the Vale do Paraiba Paulista. It is presented the course of the legislation that guaranteed the education of the blind in the Brazilian scenario, analyzing the ways in which these people consume information and identifying some strategies that can be undertaken in universities by managers and teachers to overcome obstacles to the inclusion of blind. The results demonstrate that information and guidelines should be implemented in universities in order to provide essential support for the full utilization of studies by students with visual impairment.
