On the systematic difference between trigonometric parallaxes determined along right ascension and declination

Abstract I analysed the trigonometric parallaxes independently measured along right ascension and declination, π x and π y , in the data published by the Royal Greenwich Observatory, U.K. The results show that there may exist a certain significant correlation between the difference π x − π y and the right ascension.
