Design of inverter with specific harmonic elimination and adjustable switching mode for high speed PMSM

High speed motors are widely used due to the merits of high power density, small size and energy-saving. But there is no matched high-frequency inverter to drive high-speed motor. Therefore, study on high-speed motor special inverter becomes one of the key issues to accelerate application of highspeed motor. The influence of current harmonics on high-speed permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is analyzed. The design method of inverter with specific harmonic elimination (SHE) and adjustable switching mode is proposed. The switching mode can be smoothly switched. Simulation results show that this method can not only reduce harmonics of high-speed motor power supply, but also reduce the requirements for power device switching which has provided the basis for the application of high-speed PMSM control.
