Research of rheo model of semi-solid Mg 2 Si/AM60 magnesium matrix composites

The apparent viscosities of semi-solid Mg 2 Si/AM60 magnesium matrix composites at steady state were tested‥ The results show that the apparent viscosities of semi-solid Mg 2 Si/AM60 magnesium matrix composites at steady state increase with increasing solid fraction f α-Mg and volume fraction of Mg 2 Si f Mg2Si and decrease with increasing shearing rate γ. An equation that shows the effect of f Mg2Si , f α-Mg , γ on the apparent viscosities was established as following, equations.
