Common Eyelid Malpositions

2020
This chapter reviews the etiology, classification and management of three of the most common eyelid malpositions, namely ectropion, entropion and retraction. The preoperative evaluation is essential for determining the etiology of the lid malposition and deciding on the surgical procedure necessary for correction of the malposition. Surgical correction should be directed to the anatomic changes present. Some of the common surgical procedures are discussed in detail.
