Worldwide Experience of Hip Arthroscopy: Mexican Experience

The history of hip arthroscopy in Mexico started in the mid-1990s with cases performed sporadically mainly for the indication of loose body removal. It was during the decade of the 2000s where important developments and worldwide contributions were generated in Mexico at the National Rehabilitation Institute of Mexico in Mexico City. Development of hip arthroscopic techniques was at the leading edge in fields like access, labral repair, femoroacetabular impingement, and periarticular hip surgery. The National Rehabilitation Institute of Mexico is at its second decade of experience in hip arthroscopy and is active in research and education in the field.
