Relativistic quark model and behavior of the electromagnetic form factors of mesons in the region of small and intermediate Q/sup 2/

The model of hadrons consisting of relativistic quarks is used to obtain a description of the static characteristics of mesons and the electromagnetic form factor of the pion in the region of small and intermediate values 0< or =Q/sup 2/< or approx. =6 (GeV/c)/sup 2/; the results are in agreement with experiment.
