The role of anti-DNA idiotype antibodies in systemic lupus erythematosus.

In this article, we review mainly the major characteristics of anti-DNA antibodies and idiotypes found in either murine or human SLE. We shall refer to the pathogenic role of these antibodies and idiotypes in SLE, and especially to their importance in the early induction of the disease
