Background Whether proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) relieve heartburn or precordial pain after endoscopic resection (ER) for esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) remains unclear. The aim of this study was to investigate the efficacy of PPI therapy for these symptoms after ER for ESCC.
