Spectrofluorimetric determination of sodium laurylsulfonate with 2′,7′-dichlorofluorecei

The spectrofluorimetric determination of sodium laurylsulfonate (DOSO3Na) with 2′,7′-dichlorofluorecei was strudied in this paper.In a buffer solution of Na2HPO4-KH2PO4 (pH 7.20),sodium laurylsulfonate reacts with 2′,7′-dichlorofluorecei to result in an increase in fluorescence intensity which is proportional to the concentration of DOSO3Na in the range of 0~85 μg/mL,and the detection limit is 0.0576 μg/mL.The excitation and emission wavelengths are 498 nm and 532 nm,respectively.The method proposed has been successfully applied to the direct determination of DOSO3Na in the surrounding water.The results coincide with the analysis results by methylene blue method.
