WET CORROSION BEHAVIOR OF PLASMA SPRAY Al_2O_3 CERAMICS COATING ON STEEL 1Cr18Ni9Ti

Al 2O 3 ceramics coating was prepared by plasma spraying method.The corrosion resistance of Al 2O 3 ceramics coating in different corrosion media was investigated.The results showed that Al 2O 3 ceramics coating has higher corrosion resistance in alkaline solutions,poorer corrosion resistance in acid solutions and certain level of corrosion resistance in salt solutions.The corrosion of the ceramics coating can be attributed to chemical corrosion,which was enhanced by the no-equilibrium phase,inclusion,residual stress and micro porosity within the coating.
