Effects of additives on sludge formation in boiler fuels

The effects of additives on sludge formation in boiler fuels has not been studied adequately, as there are no accelerated quantitative laboratory test methods for investigating the tendency of high-viscosity fuels to form sludge. Here we are reporting on a study of the effects of polyfunctional additives on the formation of sludge in boiler fuels, with the aim of developing an accelerated laboratory method and selecting the best additives.
