Properties of the Construction of an On-Board Submillimeter Telescope

The specific properties of the construction of telescopes, including sub millimeter telescopes, intended for extra-atmospheric studies consist in the fact that, apart from the usual difficulties in the creation of opticomechanical systems of the required dimensions and of sufficient accuracy and rigidity, limitations of overall size and weight arise here. In addition, the conditions of functioning of the structure prove to be considerably different from ground conditions. A large degree of automation of the instrument’s movements is also necessary.
