Dermatomal Somatosensory Evoked Potentials (DSSEPs) in Patients with Cervical Lesions and Brachial Plexus Injuries in Comparison with Somatosensory Evoked Potentials (SSEPs)

1991
Somatosensory evoked potentials (SSEPs) have been used as a method of diagnosing the level of cervical lesions and brachial plexus injuries [1, 3, 4, 6]. It seems, however, to be difficult to diagnose damage occuring to a single nerve root at the level of each medullary segment by using SSEPs, which are recorded following stimulation of the nerve trunk.
