Optimum design of SLS parameters of influencing the casting sand mold accuracy

The forming principle of selective laser sintering(SLS) was described. The technique was applied to make the sand mold and then sintering test was carried out in a self-made rapid prototyping machine.The process parameters that influence the casting sand mold accuracy were optimized through orthogonal test and variance analysis;and an optimal parameters combination of laser power,scanning speed,scanning interval and powder thickness was obtained.
