Newly-formed approach to fire risk assessment within facilities by applying information technology: Checklists and templates

Risk Matrix is a useful method for fire risk assessment that can be applied only to the identified fire hazards. The most practical tool for systematic and comprehensive identification of fire risk in working and auxiliary facilities is a checklist. In this paper there will be defined the method of implementation of checklists in a fire risk matrix. Checklists refer to the identification of fire hazards of facilities and equipment and also to the conducting of fire safety precautions in a facility. The aim of this implementation is the assessment of the fire risk. The assessment of fire risk is presented in the example of timber industry.
