Review of Subfamily Cryptarchinae Thomson, 1859 (Coleoptera: Nitidulidae) in Korea (Part I: genus Glischrochilus Reitter, 1873 and Pityophagus Shuckard, 1839)

Abstract The subfamily Cryptarchinae Thomson, 1859 from Korea is partly reviewed. This study is the first part of the revision, treating two genera: Glischrochilus Reitter, 1873 and Pityophagus Shuckard, 1839. Three species, Glischrochilus (Librodor) binaevus (Reitter, 1879), Glischrochilus (Glischrochilus) cruciatus (Motschulsky, 1860), and Pityophagus basalis Reitter, 1874 are newly reported for the first time in Korea. Descriptions, photographs of external morphology and genital structures, biological information and a key to species are provided.
