A Novel Current-Driven Phase-Shift Full-Bridge Converter with Output-Series-Parallel Reconfiguration

2019
This paper presents a novel current-driven phase-shift full-bridge converter with output-series-parallel reconfiguration. The two outputs of the proposed converter can be connected in series or parallel to share the large load current or voltage according to the load condition. Therefore, the voltage and current stresses of the secondary rectifiers can be significantly reduced and the VA rating of the main transformer can be halved compared with the conventional current-driven phase-shift full-bridge (CD-PSFB) converter. The conduction losses are also greatly reduced especially at output-parallel and large load current condition. Therefore, the proposed converter would be a good candidate for wide constant power range applications. The current and voltage sharing performances are also analyzed and finally the simulation results have validated feasibility of the proposed converter.
