The Effect of Teaching Critical Thinking and Problem Solving on Life Satisfaction, Mental Preparation and Life Expectancy of Female High School Students of North Savadkuh

The aim of conducting this research was surveying the effect of teaching critical thinking and problem solving on life satisfaction, mental preparation and life expectancy of female high school students of North Savadkuh. The research method was quasi-experimental study with pre-test, post-test and control group. 30 students studying at high schools of North Savadkuh were tested in two experimental and control groups. The experimental group taught the critical thinking and problem solving. Questionnaire was used for collecting data. Data was analyzed by the use of COVARIANCE analysis. Results showed that critical thinking and problem solving had a positive and significant effect on life satisfaction, mental preparation and life expectancy.
