The performance information is the subject of human study involving multidisciplinary activities of search, understanding, processing, use and transfer of information, in which a person engages when it identifies its own needs for information in order to produce new knowledge. The process of knowledge creation requires the individual to be independent in seeking information to its construction. Furthermore, it should be autonomous to identify what you know, the gaps in knowledge are and that failure and how and where to find information to supplement the production of knowledge. The research in the area of information designed to identify behavior patterns of behavior and discuss information in different fields of knowledge and involve concepts such as needs, search and use of information as well as the factors that influence and the most appropriate methods to be applied in research . Aiming to examine the information behavior of teachers being researchers of Veterinary Medicine State University of Londrina data were collected through questionnaires and interviews with those participants that after tabulated were analyzed and categorized based on existing models in literature. Thus, drew up the profile of the behavior of these teachers informational researchers, whose basic need for information is in their teaching activities, research and guidance, both as post graduate students. The form of access to information has as main tool the Internet and there is a widespread feeling of satisfaction of informational needs, perceived competence as a result of the information. These results may contribute to the subsidy debate to propose changes in policy management information for the UEL.
