Device for treating pulmonary arterial hypertension

2014
The device (1) comprises at least one ball (2) air, an implantable chamber and a conduit (3) for connecting the balloon (2) and the implantable chamber in a sealed manner, the ball (2), this chamber and conduit (3) being filled with fluid; the pressure of the fluid is such that the ball (2) is normally inflated but can be compressed, temporarily keeping said implantable chamber pressure, for circulation of the fluid in said conduit (3). According to the invention, the device (1) further comprises: - a catheter (5) wherein the balloon (2) is adapted to be placed in the deflated state and wherein said ball and said conduit (3) are adapted to slide; - at least one anchoring member (6) to the pulmonary artery or a heart wall, connected to an actuating wire (7) slidable in the catheter (5), said anchoring member (6) being movable independently of the balloon (2), between a withdrawal position in the catheter (5) and an anchoring position in which it is out of the catheter (5) and makes the anchor, and -means (15-18) connecting said duct (3) and said actuating wire (7) to the catheter (5), allowing, in an active position, to block the sliding of the conduit (3) and the wire relative to the catheter (5) , and in an inactive position, to release this sliding.
