Vector meson inclusive production in K sup + p interactions in the fusion and recombination model
1989
Vector meson inclusive production in {ital K}{sup {plus minus}}{ital p} interactions is studied using a model which combines the features of the fusion and recombination model with the transverse momentum distribution of the quarks in the initial hadrons and the possible enhancement of annihilation channels at energies which are not too high. Comparison with the experimental data shows that this approach makes it possible to overcome certain difficulties in earlier versions of the model for describing the vector meson inclusive spectra in {ital K}{sup {minus}}{ital p} interactions.
