The research refers to a study involving educational policies implemented in basic education, such as actions for improving the quality of education. The study was carried out in two public schools, partners on the Project OBEDUC, located in a city in the southern state of Rio Grande do Sul, on the implementation and development of programs/ projects, such as the More Education, the PNLD and PROEMI, in the years 2013 to 2015. The research that aimed to point out impacts of these policies in the practices of schools, showed the lack of articulation between the programmes/ projects, or to other public policies, being more (re) known in the schools by providing material resources than by their purpose in relation to effective practices to improve student performance. In addition, because of no monitoring or evaluation of the results of the actions, it is impossible to aim their impact on the school practices.
