An Initial Research on Artificial Propagation of Catfish(Silurus asotus L.)

For providing the theories data about artificial propagation of Silurus asotus, pituitary gland and three different species hormones procedures are employed to urge the mature Silurus asotus and adopt a flowing water to hatch zygote. The result shows: both one hormone and mix-raise can urge the mature Silurus asotus of good sex gland; the palm-tree fish nest can reduce the zygote to fall to the ground; the coordination of size for the mated male and female Silurus asotus should be considered in order to enhance the productivity of female Silurus asotus; there is severe slaughtering among the small Silurus asotus; small Silurus asotus from membrane for 3 ~ 5 days must be feed with openings animal foods of good quality; the small Silurus asotus come out from membrane about 48 hours after the water temperature is about 20 to 26℃.
